Welch, Paul R. Jr., of Marshfield passed away on January 11 at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Adel (Bucknam) Welch. Loving father of Paul R. Welch III and his loving companion Jacqui Lillis of Marshfield, Patricia Welch of Marshfield and Susan Lamond of Marshfield. Dear grandfather of Catherine, Shannon and Kelsey Lamond. Dear son of the late Gertrude and Paul R. Welch Sr. Dear brother of Dorothy Bolton and her husband Richard of Stow, MA and predeceased by 8 brothers and sisters. Also survived my many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Paul grew up in Arlington, MA where he met his high school sweet heart Adele and were married for 60 years. He then became a 40 year resident of Marshfield where he raised his family and enjoyed golf. He was a successful business man and prominent in the gasoline industry where he was president of New England Petroleum for many years. After retirement he enjoyed winters in Florida, spoiling his grandchildren, Foxwoods and traveling with his wife. Visiting hours will be held in the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte 139 in Marshfield on Friday, January 16 from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral from the funeral home on Saturday, January 17 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Christine's Church, 1295 Main St., Rte 3A in Marshfield at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held at a later date.
