Peter J. Caissey, Jr., of Marshfield, passed away on May 4, 2017 at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Mae (Reeves) Caissey and dear father of Marcia Caissey and her husband Robert of Acton and Marisa Castanon and her husband Christopher of Duxbury, Peter also leaves two grandchildren, Madeleine and Elizabeth Castanon, and his nieces, Jean M. Larrabee and her partner Joseph Victoria of E. Greenwich, RI and Nancy G. Isabelle and her husband Mark of Mansfield. Peter is predeceased by his parents, Peter J. Caissey, Sr., and Molly D. (Iannino) Caissey, and is also predeceased by his sister, Genevieve Gagnon.

Peter was an instrument technician in the paper industry, working for Weyerhaeuser, James River, and Georgia Pacific, both formerly Weyerhaeuser companies. After leaving Georgia Pacific he worked in the Telecommunications Department at Fitchburg State College, from which he retired. He enjoyed skiing, golfing, biking, and tinkering in electronics.  His greatest joy was spending time with his family.

Services will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) Marshfield.  The funeral procession will depart the funeral home for a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. in St. Christine's Church, 1295 Main Street, Marshfield. Burial with U.S. Air Force Military Honors will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
