Peter J. Phillips of Marshfield, passed away surrounded by family on February 18, 2021 at the age of 63. He was the beloved husband of Dana Donahue Phillips of Marshfield, the father of Kari Phillips of Scituate, brother of Tracy Shea of Weymouth and the son of the late Lilian Shea among many other beloved family members.

Peter grew up in Boston where he graduated from Don Bosco High School and later from Salem State College. He has been a resident of Marshfield for 38 years and has loved the town dearly.

Peter was a dedicated and proud member of the Veteran's Memorial Park for many years where he loved to give back to the community and Veterans. While Peter's passion was cooking, he ultimately retired from the Town of Marshfield. Peter loved to cook for friends and family and many knew him for his tortellini carbonara. Peter enjoyed the beautiful walking paths of the South Shore, especially at Mass Audubon Sanctuaries, and canoeing along the North River. He also enjoyed golfing, with his favorite course being Ponkapoag Golf Course.

Memorial visitation hours will be held on Saturday March 6, 2021 from 1:00-3:00pm at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield, MA. Funeral services will be held at a later date in New Brunswick, Canada. Memorial donations may go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, online at https://donate.lls.org/
