Reeves, Philip A. "Phil", of Marshfield, born December 24, 1927, died June 24, 2015 at Life Care Center of Scituate after a brief illness. Husband of the late Winnie Reeves. Loving father of Pumalee of Thailand and grandfather of Fern and Shem of Thailand. Brother of the late Dorcas Rohn. Philip is survived by his niece Jennifer Head of Denver, CO, Andy and Josephine Rohn and their children Cory and Hayley of Champaign, IL and David Rohn of Pendelton, OR.
Phil was born in Lansdowne, PA before residing in Marshfield. He served in the US Army Medical Corps. From 1948 to 1952 in Hamburg, Germany. He graduated from Boston University with a Master's Degree in 1960. There he met his wife Winnie, a nursing student from Thailand. Phil then moved to Thailand where he married Winnie and they adopted Pumalee. Phil worked for over 30 years teaching at the International School of Bangkok which was one of his fondest memories. His love of science led him to write a published book on the butterflies of Thailand. His many interests and hobbies include gardening and painting. Phil also attended a men's Bible study in Marshfield Hills for many years. Phil was an active member of New Hope Chapel of Norwell/Marshfield where he was greatly loved by many.
A visiting hour will be held in the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte. 139 in Marshfield on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 from 9 to 10 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Couch Cemetery, Marshfield.
