Corbo, Philip J. Sr. 91, Ret Detective BPD of Marshfield, July 7, 2016. Beloved Husband of 64 years to the late Catherine T. "Kay" (Leonard) Corbo. Loving father of Philip (Lynn) Corbo Jr. of Hanover, Stephen (Claire) Corbo of Kingston, William (Louise) Corbo of Plymouth, Daniel (Karen) Corbo of Marshfield, James (Tracy LaConte) Corbo of Marshfield, Kathleen (Joseph) Fitzgerald of Marshfield, Thomas (Nancy) Corbo of Marshfield and Nancy (Anthony) O'Brien) of Marshfield. Also survived by 19 grandchildren. Brother of the late William and his wife Josephine Corbo.
Phil was born in Boston Nov 15, 1924 and was raised in Dorchester (OFD), he summered in Marshfield in the early 1960's before moving there permanently in 1973. Phil retired from the Boston Police Department after 35 years, the majority of his career was spent at District 4 in the South End and had many years as a detective in the Juvenile Court. Phil was a veteran of the US Navy WW II.
Visiting hours will be held in the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte. 139 in Marshfield on Sunday, July 10, from 2 to 6 pm.
Funeral from the funeral home on Monday, July 11 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 40 Canal St. in Marshfield at 12:00 Noon
Interment will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA. 2:30 pm following the Mass.
