Philip Wayne Dunn, 79 of Rockland MA, passed peacefully on July 1, 2026 after an unexpected but short illness. Phil was a long-time business owner and talented tradesman who helped to build thousands of homes across the South Shore, Cape and Islands. Phil was an avid beachgoer, family man, and friend. He enjoyed Nascar, a good western and reading a good biography or historical account. Phil was known to be generous with all those around him. It could be said that Phil’s presence filled a room.

He follows his parents Everett and “Jackie” Dunn, his brothers Everett “Sonny” Dunn, Norman Dunn, George Dunn, Stephan Dunn and Dennis Dunn, his sister Sharon Umbriana and longtime partner Kathleen Blaisdell.

He is survived by his beloved wife Linda Demeule Dunn, his son Paul W. Dunn and daughter-in-law Dolores B. Dunn of Sutton MA, his son Brian D. Dunn and daughter-in-law Linda Cleary of Marshfield, MA, his grandchildren Tristan Dunn, Racheal Dunn, Nicole Blaisdell, Tyler Dunn, Patrick Sheehan, Sydney Sheehan and Joshua Demeule, his brother Richard Dunn and sister-in-law Carrol Dunn, his mother-in-law Donah Sergio, his brother-in-law Jay Sergio and his wife Lori, his brother-in-law Anthony Sergio and his fiancé Tara, his sister-in-law Gigi Marino, his step daughter Nicole Demeule, his daughter-in-law Julie DiGiacomo and her husband Bill Kuzmich, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Per Phil’s wishes there will be no wake or services held. We would like to thank the MacDonald Funeral Home of Marshfield for taking care of him. Close friends and family may gather on Saquish Beach, time TBD.
