Obituary

Phyllis M. Haynes of Kingston MA passed away on May 12, 2020 at the age of 76. Beloved mother of Christopher Haynes and his wife Katharine of Kingston and grandmother of Heather and Brendan, she leaves a brother, Michael Haynes of Braintree, MA several nieces and nephews, and beloved friend Judith Nashawaty. She is predeceased by a sister, Judith Savonen and a brother, Richard Lantz.

Phyllis grew up in Quincy, MA and graduated from Quincy High School. She worked at various companies including channel 56, Marshfield Sand and Gravel and Scituate Concrete Pipe. At each place she worked, she drew close lifelong friends. Phyllis was drawn to the beach community of Brant Rock in Marshfield, MA where she lived for many years and raised her son Chris.

In her retirement years, Phyllis wintered in Port St. Lucie FL and then eventually moved full time. She enjoyed hosting and entertaining family and friends at her home in Florida. She also enjoyed traveling with friends, golf, Tiki bars and warm sunny weather.

In her later years, she moved back to Kingston MA to be close to family. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, with a quick-witted sense of humor who enjoyed time spent with people. She will be greatly missed by all.
