Phyllis Dustin Smith of Humarock, MA; August 15, 2014. She was 84 years old. Beloved wife of the late Charles H. (Chuck) Smith and sister of the late Jeanne Dustin Ritchie. She is survived by children Daniel Smith of Humarock, Maureen, Charles, and Kathleen Smith of Marshfield, Edward Smith of Denver; by her dear grandson Daniel Dustin Smith of Marshfield; sisters-in-law Maryann Smith Houston and Josephine Smith; brother-in-law Kenneth Ritchie; life-long friend Patricia Foley; and many nieces and nephews.

She was born in Jamaica Plain and attended Girls' Latin School in Boston. She went on to attend the Boston College School of Nursing, graduating in BC's first Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Class of 1952.

Phyllis and Chuck raised their family in Westwood. Phyllis worked in the Westwood schools for 25 years as a school nurse, most of those years at The Sheehan School, making many friends along the way at The Sheehan and other schools.

She loved cooking, crocheting, the beach, being with friends, and first and foremost, her family and her beloved grandson Danny.

Visiting hours at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street, Marshfield, MA. Tuesday August 19, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral from the Funeral Home Wednesday at 9:00 am followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Ann by the Sea, 591 Ocean Street, Marshfield, MA. at 10:00 am. Interment will be in the St Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury, at a later date
