Keene, Ralph P., age 84, died in comfort and peace on May 28 at Golden Living Center in Plymouth. Ralph was born in Port Deposit, Md., and became a proud U.S. Navy Fireman First Class serving on the USS Wisconsin and the USS Missouri from 1946 until his honorable discharge in 1948. Ralph moved to Greenwich, CT and in 1950 married Eleanor Popkins with whom he lovingly spent his next 60 years. Ralph and Ellie moved to Duxbury in 1993. He is survived by his daughter Deborah and son-in-law Chris Toal of Framingham; his son, R. Parker Keene and daughter-in-law Karen Keene of Simsbury, CT. He was the beloved grandfather of Ryan (Toal) Hall, Jessica Toal and Andrew Keene. He was the delighted great grandfather of Margaret Mae and Liam James Hall, daughter and son of Ryan and her husband Shawn. A memorial service will be held June 15 at 12:00 at MacDonald Funeral Home 1755 Ocean St. Rte 139 Marshfield.
