Bennett, Richard W. 74 of West Bridgewater, formerly of Somerville, January 30, 2015. Beloved husband of Helen F. (Morrissey) Bennett and the late Jane (Lippe) Bennett. Dear father of Jeffrey Bennett, Scott Bennett, Jason Bennett and his wife Marie, Gregg Bennett and his wife Deborah, Victoria Bennett, Nicole DiGaetano and her fiancée Steven Field and stepfather of Michael and Mary Cannon. Brother of James Bennett and his wife Gerry, Joanne Desharnais, Betty Bennett, Sally Scali and her husband Rocco and the late John Bennett. Also survived by 13 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.

Richard spent most of his life in Somerville moving to West Bridgewater 10 years ago. He was a US Air Force Veteran and belonged to the Marshfield DAV/Past Commander, Marshfield Am Vets, Marshfield American Legion, Marshfield Elks #2494 and was a life member of the Somerville City Club.

Visiting hours will be held in the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte. 139 in Marshfield on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 from 4 to 7 p.m. A Funeral Service officiated by Rev Pam McGrath of the North Community Church Marshfield will be held following the visiting hours at 7:00 pm.

Interment with Honors will be held on Monday, March 9 at 11:30 a.m. in the Massachusetts National Cemetery Bourne, MA.
