Figueiredo, Richard A., of Pembroke, passed away on October 20, 2017 at the age of 67 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Beloved son of Diane L. (Willis) Figueiredo of Pembroke and the late William R. Figueiredo; father of Richard Figueiredo and his wife Kimberly of Pembroke, Adria Figueiredo and Evan Figueiredo, both of Marshfield, and Cory Figueiredo of Plymouth; brother of Lee Baker and her husband Robert of Plympton, Jean McLore and the late Stephen McLore of Plymouth, Diane Fullerton of Pembroke, and Kym Waitkus Rossi and her husband Neal of Hanover; cherished grandfather of Hunter and Graci Figueiredo; close and loving Uncle of Tara, Shane, Monique, Ryan, Christine, Kathy, Mark, Heidi, Nicole, Jonathan, Jeremy, Nicholas, Jared, Brandon, Justin, and Madisyn. Richard also leaves his best friend, canine companion Gretta.

Dick was the Captain of his own lobster boat, the Lady Diane, and owner of The Lobster Loft in Hanson. He had a passion for books and loved to research everything; Dick was a wealth of knowledge.  He always looked forward to the Christmas season, when he would host the family Christmas Eve gathering. His homemade clam chowder will be missed.

Dick's ultimate goal was to provide service dogs to help Veterans who suffer from PTSD, as his own dog Gretta helped him through his battle with cancer. One of his greatest accomplishments was breeding, raising, and training German Shepherds, one of which he donated to the Coast Guard Station in Hull.

Dick was a member of the Marshfield Elks Lodge 2494, the Knights of Columbus Post 6297, and the Satuit Masonic Lodge.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at the Holy Family Church, 403 Union Street, Rockland MA. Burial will be in the Woodside Cemetery in Cohasset.
