Richard W. Gauger, of Marshfield, passed away on April 7, 2018 at the age of 56. Beloved father of Sarah Gauger of Marshfield; brother of Susan Keane and her husband Eugene of Tennessee, and Leisa Radzins and her husband Roman of Connecticut. Richard leaves the love of his life, Victoria Greco of Mattapoisett, his niece Catherine,  nephews Brian and David, many loyal and devoted friends, and former wife Jill Zaha of Marshfield.

Richard was born in Winsted, CT to Mildred and Roger "Bill" Gauger. He is a Boston College graduate and received his master's degree from Boston University. He spent most of his career as a financial marketing executive. A loving and committed father to his daughter Sarah, he was active in coaching her teams and was extremely proud of her intelligence, kindness, and her singer/songwriting talents. Rich had the most amazing group of friends from around the country that he loved immensely and who held a prominent place in his life. He always looked forward to his annual golf trip to Myrtle Beach, and summer weekends in Newport. He enjoyed the company of his niece and nephews and their children, and children of all ages gravitated toward him. Rich, an unselfish, non-judgmental man, was well known for his sincere and genuine interest in getting acquainted with everyone who crossed his path.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) in Marshfield.
