Obituary

Richard (Richie) V. Logan of Cape Coral, FL, formerly of Marshfield, MA, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2025, at the age of 66, with his loving daughter Julia E. Logan by his side after a yearlong and courageous battle with cancer.

Richie graduated from Marshfield High School in 1977 and later went on to work as a Sandhog (Local 88) on the Big Dig in Boston, MA. He then spent the next ten plus years working as a Deckhand for N.O.A.A. on the R/V Delaware II out of Woods Hole, MA.

Richie was a proud Irish American who loved spending time with his daughter Julia E. Logan, traveling, going to the beach, driving his bright red souped up Jeep Wrangler Willy with the top and doors off, listening and singing country music, spending time with his family and friends and his furry orange cat and buddy Tigger.

Richie was preceded in death by his father Vincent P. Logan and his mother Julia M. (Connors) Logan. He's survived by his beloved daughter Julia E. Logan of Marshfield, MA. Along with his eight surviving siblings William Logan, Millie Kane, Sonny Logan, Anmarie Dackers, Shirley Duggan, Ellen Falconer, Julie Buckley, Patrick Logan, and the late Jack Logan. He also leaves behind numerous loving Nieces and Nephews. Richie truly loved his entire family with all his heart.

As I maneuver through grief and life without the first man who ever loved me, I will remember my dad for being brave, strong, proud, stubborn, funny, loving, and most of all my loudest cheerleader. Although you are no longer here with us, I will carry on with your legacy and cherish all our wonderful memories and adventures.

Thank you for being my dad and making me a strong woman. Thank you for loving me with all your heart, every second of every day. I promise to continue to make you proud and live life to the fullest.

You put up a great fight dad and I am so very proud of you. But now it is time for you to finally rest, be pain free, and reunite with all your loved ones in heaven that you've missed dearly.

I will love you forever and miss you every second of every day, until we meet again.

I encourage you all to wear something red in honor of my father as it was his favorite color.

With all my love and respect, Your Monkey; Julia E. Logan.
