Richard Raymond Perilli (Willis), 69, of Marshfield, Massachusetts, passed away at his home on September 18, 2026. He was a big-hearted and adventurous father, grandfather, husband, brother, and friend. His presence will be deeply and sorely missed.

Rich was born in Brockton, Massachusetts on November 9th, 1956, to Anthony Vincent and Anne (Antetomaso) Perilli. He graduated from Xaverian high school in 1974, after which he joined the US Navy and was enlisted until his honorable discharge in 1983. He received his associates degree from Old Dominion University and was very proud to have worked in Engineering at a variety of places and for himself, including at MIT and Analog Devices. Rich enjoyed many pursuits including boating as a member of the Marshfield Yacht Club, and skiing up and down the Northeast. He was devoted to his friends and family and would lend a hand to anyone who asked (and those who didn’t ask). As they grew older, his sons saw him not just as their dad but as their friend and buddy. There are countless stories of both his generosity and his shenanigans across the years. Rich was always good for a laugh, a borrowed power tool, a last-minute adventure, or a shoulder to lean on. He and his wife Karen also took a plethora of “rent-a-kids” into their home over the years, providing a safe place for kids to be themselves and abundant and treasured advice.

He is survived by his sons Justin and wife Julia Perilli of South Royalton VT, Nathan Perilli and wife Therese Burns of Hayfork California, Paul Perilli and James Perilli of Marshfield Massachusetts; and his beloved grandchildren Paul Nathan Perilli, Ryleigh Marie LaChance, and Grant Nova Barsky Perilli; and his siblings Mary (Perilli) Loughlin, Nancy (Perilli) Greim, and Robert Perilli. Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Karen (Eddy) Perilli, the love of his life, and his dear sister, Susan (Perilli) Gallagher.

Visiting hours with a memorial service following will be held on Sunday, October 4th, 2026 from 1 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) in Marshfield.
