Richard Anthony Schoell passed away Saturday, June 10, 2021. Beloved husband to the late Barbara A. Gipple Schoell and father to Eric Schoell of Kingston and Jon & Jill Schoell of Marshfield and to the late Matthew Schoell of Wethersfield, CT. He is also survived by his three grandchildren Katrina, Jocelyn and Carter Schoell, his sister Mary Parker and her husband Richard of Buffalo, NY.
Dick was born on July, 11 1937 in Buffalo New York to Philomena D. Zillig Schoell and Anthony Joseph Schoell. Dick was a graduate of Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. Growing up in Buffalo, he played football and sang in the Glee club. It was here he met and married Barbara Gipple in 1963 and remained so until her death in 2016.
Dick had a very full life. Dick was a well-travelled entrepreneur who started many successful business ventures. Entrepreneur magazine once described his Autotune Centers Inc. as "the most successful chain of tuneup shops in the entire Northeast" and described Dick as "the Entrepreneur's entrepreneur". In addition to Autotune Dick started Great Bodies gym in Sparta, NJ in the 80's; CWC Inc. A wall covering business and worked at several other companies while simultaneously using his interest in real estate to grow his Property Tax Consultants business in MA. He continued to work in real estate in MA and Amelia Island, FL until 2020.
Dick was very active. He enjoyed tennis, boating, competing in weekend regattas in Sparta, skiing with his family, and his most favorite activity - Golf. Dick will be greatly missed by his family and many dear friends. There will be a mass given in his name and a private interment held at a later date.
