SHOULLA, Richard E. age 83 of Marshfield, formerly of Duxbury, died peacefully on Christmas Day surrounded by his family. Born in Boston, he was the son to the late Tomasso and Mary Ciulla. Rich grew up in Boston graduating from Dorchester High, and went on to live most of his adult life in Duxbury and Marshfield. A Veteran of the U.S. Army, Rich went on to have a long career at the United States Postal Service. Post-retirement, Rich loved to drive the school bus for neighboring towns, sneak treats to his kids' and grandkids' dogs, and spend time with his loving family and friends. Rich is survived by his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth Shoulla; his sister Marie Comeau of Milton; his four children, Laurie Reney (Thomas) of Marshfield, Richard Shoulla of Plymouth, Nancy Costello (Michael) of Milton, and Beth Stone (David) of Ashburnham; and his nine grandchildren Michael and Meaghan Reney, Kelsey and Brian Shoulla, Sarah, Michael, and Daniel Costello, and Jillian and Benjamin Stone.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visiting hours on Monday, December 30, 2019 at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield from 4:00-7:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Saint Christine's Parish Church, 1295 Main Street in Marshfield.
