Rita Katherine "Kathy" O'Sullivan (Mooney), of Duxbury and Del Ray Beach, Florida, passed away on August 14, 2016 at the age of 69. Beloved wife of John T. O'Sullivan and dear mother of Katherine K. "Kate" O'Sullivan (Steven Lewis) of England and Kevin B. O'Sullivan (Laurie Dunn) of Duxbury. Kathy leaves her grandchildren Finn O'Sullivan Lewis, Thomas Dunn O'Sullivan and Patrick Dunn O'Sullivan, siblings Barry Mooney (Terry) of Everett, Maureen Mooney Stamper of Duxbury and Florida, and Danny Mooney (Patty) of Duxbury and sister in-law Jean Mooney. Predeceased by a brother, the late Jay Mooney, and a brother in-law, the late Barry Stamper, Kathy leaves many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and dear friends Mary Grady, Sheila Mercer, Carole McCarthy, and Lois McKeown.

Kathy was born in Medford and graduated from Mount Trinity Academy in Watertown. She attended Massachusetts Bay Community College and was a travel agent for more than 30 years, working with Northeast Airlines, Heritage Travel, and Delta Airlines. She was an avid traveler and beach bum, and a loving grandmother.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) Marshfield. Funeral procession at 9:00 a.m. from the Funeral Home on Friday, August 19, 2016 to the Funeral Mass to be held at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Family Church, 601 Tremont Street, Duxbury. Interment will be in the Mayflower Cemetery, Duxbury.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Kathy's memory can be made to BID Plymouth Cancer Care Center, 275 Sandwich Street, Plymouth MA 02360 in support of their work with cancer research, patients, and survivors.
