Rita T. Tobin of Marshfield, formerly Of Roslindale, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018 at the age of 92.  Beloved wife of 52 years to the late Albert G. Tobin, Sr. and dear mother of Albert G Tobin Jr. of Marshfield and Lisa M. Tobin of Salem, she also leaves behind 3 grandchildren, Geoffrey R Tobin of Pembroke, Chad Tobin of Bradenton, FL and Caiti Thrasher of North Carolina. Rita also leaves behind 6 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces & nephews. She is predeceased by her sister Mary Elsie Mulkern and her brother Joseph "Bunny" Turner.

Rita was originally from South Boston but moved to Roslindale when she met her beloved husband Albert.  They then retired to Marshfield. Rita was a stay at home Mom and devoted her life to her children and family. She loved to dance was often out with Albert on Saturdays at Moseley's in Dedham. Rita loved her time with her grandchildren & great grandchildren, especially watching her great granddaughter Autumn Tobin whirl away on the ice, figure skating. She enjoyed her recreational activities with her sister Elsie and loved to create her ceramic pieces for family members. She could be found walking the aisles of The Christmas Tree Shop & Building 19, bargain hunting. Rita loved to cook and had many specialties that were mandatory at any family function, especially her chicken soup & coleslaw.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street Marshfield, which will conclude with a Funeral Service at 12:00 Noon, also at the funeral home.  After the service, the funeral procession will depart for Couch Cemetery, where Rita will be laid to rest.
