Robert E. Ames of Marshfield passed away on May 11. 2021 at the age of 88. Born in 1932 to the late Donald Bartlett Ames and Inez Mary Eno Ames, he was the beloved husband of 64 years to the late Margaret E. "Betty" (Millett) Ames; loving father of Stacey Kenneth Ames and his wife Robin and Steven Kent Ames and his wife Stephanie; dear grandfather of Sarah Ames of Grants Pass, Oregon, and great-grandfather of her sons John and Bob.

A Machinist by trade, Robert worked for Bettencourts Honda, Monty's Cycle Shop, and Stanley's Yamaha. He served in the U.S. Navy Reserve and was past President and lifetime member of the Tumbleweed Motorcycle Club as well as past President and lifetime member of the Blue Fish Cove Association, and lifetime member of the American Motorcyclist Association.

Visitation on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. will conclude with a Funeral Service at 3:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield.
