Robert Banville of Duxbury peacefully passed with those who cared for him by his side, on February 7, 2026. Robert was the son of the late Lorraine V. Grenon and Aime Banville.

Raised in Boston, Massachusetts, Robert later moved to Taunton before settling in Duxbury. Throughout his life, Robert found profound happiness in the simple moments spent outdoors, soaking up the sun alongside his dear friend, Susan. Their companionship was a source of warmth and joy, filled with shared laughter and cherished memories. Robert loved vacationing on Cape Cod, enjoying delightful dinners with his friends, and taking Susan to dances, where they created beautiful moments together.

Robert looked forward to joyful fishing trips and adventurous outings to Castle Island where he would enjoy his lunch by the water, surrounded by nature. As a member of Heart in the Arts in Lakeville, Robert engaged in cooking and painting classes, where he found a sense of belonging and purpose. Robert took immense pride in his paintings, often gifting them to those close to him. A devoted Red Sox fan, Robert derived great joy from attending live games at Fenway Park, where the excitement of the crowd added to his happiness.

We invite you to join us in honoring Robert’s life at MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street, Marshfield, MA. on February 18, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a heartfelt celebration of his life.
