Barry, Robert W., of Marshfield, May 15, 2016 at the age of 76. Beloved father of Kevin Barry and his wife Erica Papkey of Quincy, Sean Barry of Weymouth, and the late Kathleen Cleveland, Robert leaves his former wife Judith (Temple) Barry, his grandchildren Kevin, Collin, Kelsey, and Nastassia Barry, a great grandson Sawyer Ackley, a sister Mary Lou Doble and her husband Charlie of Humarock, son in-law Scott Cleveland of Quincy, and many nieces and nephews.
Robert was born and raised in Dorchester and also lived in Quincy before moving to Marshfield in 1977. An Army Veteran, Robert was a retired truck driver who worked for the Quincy Highway Department, McDougall Waste, Waste Management, and the Lobster Pound in Humarock. Robert was a member of the Old Colony Gun Club in Pembroke.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2016 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) Marshfield. Funeral from the funeral home on Monday May 23, at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of the Assumption Church Green Harbor at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery at Bourne following the Funeral Mass, at 12:30 pm.
Due to the floral restrictions at the National Cemetery, in lieu of flowers contributions in Robert's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown MA 02472.
