Grandfather of Ryan Corrigan, Sofia Brno and Jocelyn, Lindsey, Michael and Colleen Tierney. Devoted brother of Steven Brno, Raymond Brno, Paul Brno, the late Tony Brno and his sister, the late Christina Brno-Brown.

Bob was a loving, gentle and supportive husband and father. He was proud of his children and grandchildren and their many accomplishments. He had a strong work ethic, which he passed on to his children. For 25 years Bob worked two jobs, putting his three children through college in the process. During this time he attended evening classes at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, CT, receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.

Bob taught himself to play golf at the age of 13 and was the #1 Player in his junior and senior years at Bayside High School, Queens NY. His team won the NYC Golf Championship both years. Bob taught his brother Steven and his son David how to play the game of golf.

Bob served in the U.S. Army National Guard for 6 years and was a New York City Police Officer for 2 years. He transferred to the FDNY, joining his father, Lieutenant Stephen Brno and uncle, Battalion Chief Sigmund Kliebor, and later his brother Tony, who also became a New York City Firefighter. Bob retired from the FDNY after 22 years of service.

Bob was thankful and happy to be at home with his family during his illness. He never complained and kept his sunny disposition until the end. Bob will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
