Robert F. Carney, Jr., of Marshfield, passed away on July 11, 2017 at the age of 58.  Cherished son of Robert F. Carney and Gloria Sarno and stepfather in memory, the late Dennis Sarno; loving husband of Patricia (McDermott) Carney; devoted father of Kelly, Jason, David, and Deanna; brother of James Carney and his wife Marisa; uncle of Ashley, Michael, and Matthew, and grandfather of Brady, Riley, Sofia, David Jr., and Shyanne. He also leaves his beloved cat, Neno.

Robert was a self employed Truck Driver and worked with Pompeo Construction for 30 years. He enjoyed long walks with his wife, vacationing in Maine and New Hampshire, and canoeing up the Saco River; cruises with the Elks members and trips to Foxwoods; spending time playing with the grandchildren, and dining at Santarpio's in East Boston.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service and Reception on Saturday, July 15, 2017 from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m. at the Marshfield Elks Hall, 1321 Ocean Street in Marshfield. Officers of the Elks will conduct the 'Lodge of Sorrow' service at 3:45 p.m. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Marshfield Elks Local #2494 Scholarship Fund, P.O.
