Robert F. Cassidy, Jr., of Marshfield passed away unexpectedly at South Shore Hospital on December 31, 2021 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of the late Joanne M. (Marshall) Cassidy; loving father of Dee Hanrahan of Marshfield, LeeAnn Rogers of Florida, Paul Cassidy (Theresa) of Vermont, and the late Robert F. "Bobby" Cassidy, III. Cherished grandfather of Brad, Michael, Danny, Dante, Angie and Bobby, and great-grandfather of Deana, Mark, Joseph, Brady, Fynn, Loudon, and Isabella. He is predeceased by his siblings, the last of which his brother David who passed away 2 months ago, and leaves two sister's in-law, Elinor Cassidy of Maine and Marie Curley of Braintree.

Born in Boston to the late Robert F. and Genevieve (Gower) Cassidy, Robert grew up in Braintree, where he was active in the Boy Scouts and enjoyed hiking and fishing at Cranberry Pond. He graduated from Braintree High School in 1953 and proudly served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Alaska, during the Korean War era.

Robert worked as a Grocery Manager for the Stop & Shop Companies and was a member of the Food Workers Union. In his retirement he also worked at the Brant Rock Laudromat for 15 years.

Funeral Services will be private. Memorial donations can be made to the Marshfield Veteran's Services Fund, 870 Moraine Street, Marshfield MA 02050.
