Robert W. Eunson, "Bob", of Marshfield, MA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 17, 2024 from complications of diabetes.

Bob was the eldest of four children born to the late Det. William T. Eunson (BPD) and Marie A. (McGrail) Eunson of Dorchester, MA. Bob grew up in Dorchester and graduated from Boston English High in 1961. After graduation, Bob went to work for John Hancock in Boston, MA. During the Vietnam Conflict, Bob enlisted in the Navy and served as a medic in Danang, supporting the Marine Corps. Bob then returned to work for John Hancock where he became an executive, staying there for more than 20 years. In the early nineties, Bob went to work for Fidelity Investments in Dallas, TX as a Senior Vice President in Risk Management. After a successful tenure at Fidelity, Bob retired from financial services. He moved back to Massachusetts to be closer to his family, settling in Marshfield, MA, near his sister Susan.

Bob loved all the finer things in life. He enjoyed fine art, fine foods and wines, great conversation, classic movies, and British comedy. Bob enjoyed spending time by the ocean and sitting poolside with his family during the summer. Bob was an attentive uncle to his many nieces and nephews and enjoyed attending all their school events and milestone celebrations. He especially enjoyed celebrating the holidays and other happy events with his family.

Bob is survived by his loving sisters, Susan M. Williams (Paul) of Marshfield, MA and Jean M. Porter (David) of Bolivia, NC, and his loving brother Francis M. Eunson (Helen) of Plainfield, CT. Bob will be missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Bob's family would like to thank his neighbor, David Allen, for his kindness and friendship to Bob during the past few years. The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at the Beth Israel Deaconess Critical Care Unit for their extraordinary care and support during Bob's hospitalization.

A funeral mass will be held on Monday, February 26, 2024, at 10:30 am at St. Christine's Church, Marshfield, MA. Family and friends are welcome to attend. Burial will be private.
