Obituary

Fallon, Robert D. of Duxbury, formerly of Wellesley and Falmouth, passed peacefully on Friday April 27, 2018 surrounded by family. He was 91 years old. Beloved husband of the late Joanne (Fair) Fallon and Evelyn Nolan (Weslowski) Fallon; dear father of David and Stacey Fallon of Needham, Joan and Michael Gorman of Walpole, Susan and Robert Bothwell of Marshfield, Kate and Dan Croteau of Hingham, and Mark and Jennifer Fallon of Duxbury; cherished grandfather of Sydney and Emma Fallon, Courtney, Patrick, Grace, and Brianna Gorman, Joanne, Carolyn, and Robert Bothwell, Elizabeth, Nicole, Will, and Matthew Croteau, and Matthew, Katy, and Bridget Fallon. Bob leaves a brother, Edward "Ted" Fallon but is predeceased by sisters Patricia Costello and Jeanne Relfe.

Bob was a man of faith in God, which he extended to his whole family. A true gentleman, he was a friend to many.

Bob was born in Arlington, MA. He graduated from the College of Holy Cross and served in the Navy during World War II. Upon returning home, he began his career at Fallon Printing Company before working at Servicemaster.

Bob married Joanne Fair and raised five children in Wellesley, where he resided for 25 years. After the passing of Joanne, Bob moved to Falmouth and was re-married to Evelyn Nolan. Bob loved Woods Hole, where he played golf and enjoyed his many friendships. He spent his later years at the Village of Duxbury. He was a volunteer for Hospice, the food bank at St. Francis, and was an active member in the church community.

Bob loved tennis, golf, skiing, cooking, and his 4:00pm swim at Craigville Beach. An avid reader and adventurer, Bob travelled the world and encouraged others to do the same.

A father of five and a grandfather of sixteen, Bob loved and cherished spending time with his family.

Visiting hours on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. will conclude with a funeral procession to the Holy Family Church, 601 Tremont Street in Duxbury for a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at a later date.
