Robert J. Rodrigues, lovingly known as Bob, passed away surrounded by the love of his family after a short illness. He was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose steady presence and generous heart touched all who knew him.
Son of the late Benjamin and Mary (Perry) Rodrigues, he is predeceased by his siblings Arthur, Roland, Benjamin, Nelson, and Joyce Rodrigues and Margaret Austin, Ruth Gomes, Caroline Monteiro, and Dorothy Corcoran. He leaves many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Bob shared 55 wonderful years with his devoted wife, Linda Rodrigues. Together they built a life rooted in love, family, and unwavering commitment. Their partnership was a true testament to dedication and enduring love.
Bob was the proud father of Robert Higgins, Eric McCormack, and Christine Archer. He was a devoted grandfather to Cameron, Casey, Matthew, Cadey, Brooke, and Kylie, and a cherished great-grandfather to Parker. His family was the center of his world, and nothing brought him greater joy than time spent with them.
Bob dedicated his life to hard work. He spent many years working on his family farm, where he developed the strong work ethic and practical skills that defined him. He also operated heavy equipment for Bill Murphy of Unicorn Realty in Norwell, earning the respect of colleagues and friends through his reliability and dedication.
In his free time, Bob could often be found in his garage, happiest with a project underway. His hands were often full of grease—but even more so, they were full of love. He was always ready to lend a hand, fix what was broken, and quietly show his care through action rather than words.
Bob will be greatly missed and forever cherished by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy lives on in the lives he shaped, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so freely.
