Robert D. Simmons of Pembroke passed away Wednesday December 22 ^nd 2021 with his loving and devoted wife Rosemary by his side.

Bob was born and raised in North Quincy and was a member of the All-American high school band where he played clarinet. His love of music led him to the New England Conservatory. He enjoyed a long career at Fore River Motors in Quincy and retired as the Finance Manager at Audi of Norwell.

Throughout his life Bob was a devoted Catholic and attended mass each week at St. Mary's church in Hanover where he and his family resided for 25 years. Bob was involved in the Holy Cross Father's Retreat House at Stonehill College and lived Cursillo. He spent many years volunteering for My Brother's Keeper and instilled the importance of charitable giving and volunteering to his three children.

In Bob's free time he was an avid bird watcher who loved to listen to classical music, enjoyed reading, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his wife Rosemary Simmons of Pembroke, daughter Erika and son-in-law Tyler Gold of Marshfield, son Robert B. Simmons of Quincy and son Matthew and daughter-in-law Erin Simmons of San Antonio, TX. Bob also leaves behind his three beloved grandchildren Reagan and Wyatt Gold of Marshfield and Sig Simmons of San Antonio. He also leaves his Sister Barbara Kelly of Naples, FL and brother-in-law Joseph Callahan of Rockland as well as numerous nieces and nephews from Massachusetts to Florida.

A Celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
