Roderick "Buddy" Atkinson of Marshfield, March 11, at the age of 69. Beloved husband of the late Una S. Atkinson (Bradley). Son of the late Frederick M. Atkinson and Elaine Atkinson (McKinnon). Dear father of Sean R. Atkinson and Sherri M. Atkinson and her companion John Griffin and his daughter Caelan (Dracut), brother of Frederick (Ricky) Atkinson and his wife Paula (RI), and the late Edward (Rocky) Atkinson and his widow Trudy, and the late Randall (Randy) Atkinson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Buddy enjoyed fishing on The Four Sons, gardening, antiques, and beating his brothers in horseshoes without cheating. He will be remembered for the love he gave his family, neighbors, friends and animals, especially his best friend "Bandit".

Visiting hours will be held at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street, Rte 139 Marshfield on Tuesday, March 17 from 4-8PM. Funeral from MacDonald funeral home, 1775 Ocean St. (Rte. 139), Marshfield MA, Wednesday at 10:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Anne's by the Sea Church at 11:30 AM.
