Rogene A. (Seaquist) Baryski of Marshfield passed away due to non-small cell lung cancer on July 9, 2024 at the age of 77. She was the beloved wife of Michael Baryski; mother of Tanya Baryski-Lee and her husband Peter of Walpole, Tasha Baryski of Abington, Jonathan Baryski of Marshfield; Nana to Benjamin, Ruby, Leslie, and Nicholas; sister of Jayne O'Brien and Bette Abdu.

Rogene grew up in Brockton and graduated from Brockton High School. She went on to earn an Associate's degree from Graham Junior College. While working as a medical secretary, she moved to an apartment in nearby Jamaica Plain. She met Michael there as she lived on the first floor of his family's triple-decker home. They fell in love and shared 50 years as husband and wife until Michael's passing in 2023. Rogene shifted her dedication from the work force into being a full-time mother once she and Michael started a family. As her children grew up, she enjoyed learning new jobs and applying her hard work and dedication to anything she took on. One of her last jobs she showed great pride in was working as a secretary in the memory care unit at Proprietors Green. She enjoyed helping residents feel comfortable and safe in their environment.

Rogene enjoyed being an active member in the Town and would often work the polls for elections. She enjoyed attending mass at St. Ann's by the Sea and Our Lady of Assumption Church. Rogene also loved to explore new places in the Northeast and one of her favorite things to do was attend Fox 25 Zip trips with Michael. She loved traveling throughout the Northeast and going out to different restaurants with her husband. She had a strong interest in local and national Politics, always watching the news and reading many online articles and blogs. She loved the beach and spent summers growing up in Rexhame.

Family and friends are invited to gather for an hour of visitation beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield. The funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. to Our Lady of Assumption Parish Church, 40 Canal Street in Marshfield, where the Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will be in the Couch Memorial Cemetery, Union Street in Marshfield.
