Roger C. Welch of Duxbury has passed away after a brief illness at the age of 81. Roger is survived by his daughter Linda Coco and her husband Greg of Braintree, son Sean Welch and his wife Laurie of Richmond, VA, grandchildren Hannah Welch, Sarah Welch, Jessica Coco and Jeremy Coco. He was the devoted brother of Susan Bishop and her husband Jim of Belchertown, brother David Welch of Naples, FL and uncle to nephews David, Tim, and Brian Bishop. He is also survived by his former wife and dear friend Lorraine Welch of Marshfield.

Roger was an avid runner and it was a huge part of his life. He was an ultra-marathoner and very active still in the Marshfield Road Runners, where he has made many close friendships that have spanned decades. Roger loved walks in Burrage Park, trapping, fishing, running and enjoyed spending time with friends.

Funeral services will be private. We ask that in lieu of flowers if friends and family would consider a random act of charity or kindness in Roger's memory.
