Ronald P. Carlson, a long-time resident of Marshfield, passed away on December 19, 2018.

Ronald was the son of the late Erika D. Knapp of Marshfield and the late Richard S. Carlson of Nevada. He leaves behind a brother Richard of Utah and his beloved sister Deborah and her husband Robert Barrett of Marshfield. He also leaves behind a daughter Rebecca Lane of Plymouth, a son Dylan Carlson & his wife Kailey of Maine and their mother Donna Carlson, his daughter Jennifer Locke & her husband Glen of New Hampshire, Melanie Kerrigan of Vermont, Ashley Buiniconti & her husband Sully of Vermont, Keri Carlson of Florida and granddaughters Dorothy, Abby, McKenna, Arianna, Kyrie and Konnery. His passing will leave a hole in the heart of his Goddaughter Stephanie Sweet of Vermont and his other endeared nieces and nephews.

Before vascular dementia took over, Ronnie led an active life working a number of years for Coca Cola and for many more years was employed with Williams Coal & Oil. He enjoyed golfing, duck hunting, riding his motorcycle and had a great passion for cooking as well as consuming what he cooked. He also enjoyed playing cards and shooting pool with his close friends. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, January 20, 2019 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and will conclude with a Memorial Service at 4:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) in Marshfield.
