Long time resident of Marshfield, MA, Rosemary Reardon Martinez died peacefully with her family by her side at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth on Saturday, April 17, 2021.

Daughter of the late Jeremiah T. Reardon and Anne Curran Reardon. Rosemary was born in Old Town, ME and grew up in Augusta, ME where she attended Cony High School. Rosemary continued her education at Emerson College in Boston receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Teaching. Rosemary began her teaching career in Canada before moving to Marshfield where she taught English and then Art for thirty-seven years.

Rosemary married Richard A. Martinez, a fellow teacher, who passed away in 2012. She is survived by their four children, son Dr. John Bartley and his wife Barbara, and their five children, Rebecca and her husband, Dean and son August. Carolyn and her sons, Sean and Jameson, as well as Elizabeth and her husband Matt, Hannah and her fiance William, and John; son Michael Morgan; son Richard Curran and his wife Patryce; as well as darling daughter Alexandra Graham and her significant other, Tim, and three children, Emily, Joshua, and Timothy and their father Steven. She is predeceased by three brothers, Henry, William, Jack and a sister, Katharine Reardon Thompson.

Richard and Rosemary were married for fifty-eight years and traveled extensively throughout Europe. Rosemary was a deeply spiritual woman who was involved at St. Christine's Parish serving as a lector and a volunteer for many years. Rosemary was an avid antique collector and a well-known favorite performing for decades at Hingham's Cabaret. Rosemary was a loving wife, mother, comedienne, a respected teacher, and a recognized member of her community. Rosemary had the most infectious sense of humor. She truly lived her life to the fullest and was beloved by all who knew her.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield. The Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Christine Parish Church, 1295 Main Street (Rte. 3A) in Marshfield. Interment will be in the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
