Russell A. Harrington, Sr., of Bridgewater, formerly of Marshfield, passed away on June 27, 2017 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of the late Barbara (Allsopp) Harrington and dear father of Elaine Nobles and her husband Darrell of Marshfield, Bonnie Schwalm and her husband Walter of Rockland, Kathy Pellicano and her husband Joseph of Bridgewater, Russell A. Harrington, Jr., and his wife Ann of Rockland, and the late Michael Harrington and his widow Marie. He leaves his grandchildren Peter, Elizabeth, Darrell and his wife Kate, Bruce and his wife Sarah, Dawn, Wally and his husband Patrick, Adam, Jesse, Nicholas, Patrick, Isabella, and the late Michael James, and great grandchildren Ava, Emma, Jake, Cadence, William, Hazel, Alyssa, and Skylar, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Russ lived a long and full 80 years.  Married 52 years to Barbara "Gerry" Harrington. Together they had 5 children, 12 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren! Russ loved camping, boating, and Sunday family gatherings for cookouts, playing cards, or pool. He was an avid Lionel train, tropical fish, and dog lover, especially his Schnauzer, Angel. Russ will be greatly missed by all, and forever in our hearts.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and will conclude with a Funeral Service at 7:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) in Marshfield.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Hospice of the South Shore, 30 Reservoir Park Drive, Rockland MA 02370-1055.
