Ryan Fahey passed away suddenly on October 21, at the age of 29 after deciding to take his own life.

A native of Marshfield, Ryan graduated from Bridgewater State University manga cum laude with a degree in chemistry. Ryan was a friend to everyone he met. He spent a decade working at CVS, where he greeted everyone he knew with one of his trademark ear-to-ear smiles.

Ryan's mark on the Marshfield community was great. Whether he was running around the baseball fields or spending time with his best friends, Mike and Pat, it's hard to find anyone who did not know and love Ryan. He loved his family more than anything in the world. He especially loved watching Red Sox and Patriots games with his dad and eating his mom's homemade peanut butter cookies, one of his favorite foods.

Ryan will be forever remembered and loved by his parents, Brenda and Richard of Marshfield; his brother, Mike of Boston; his loving girlfriend, Caitlin, his grandparents, Col. Edward and Merle Graham of Cohasset; his aunts, Polli, Barbara (Ken), Susan, Elaine, Trisha (Bob), Peggy (Paul), and Christine. His uncles, Ted, John, and Bob (Carol Ann). Ryan is survived by countless cousins and friends who were like family. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Barbara Pollard, Ann and Ed Fahey, his uncles, Joe and Leo, and his aunt, Kathy.

A celebration of Ryan's life will be held with visiting hours on Sunday, October 28th from 1pm-5pm at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street, Marshfield. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ann's By the Sea, 591 Ocean Street, Marshfield on Monday, October 29th at 10am.
