With deep sadness we mourn the passing of Ryan Stephen Kent, son of Sharon and Stephen Kent, all of Marshfield, MA. Ryan passed after a brief illness. Ryan is survived by his brother Keith Kent, of Weymouth, sister Richele Kent and her husband Chip Manozzi, of E. Dennis and his girlfriend of many years Shannon O'Rourke, of Marshfield along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Ryan was loved by everyone who knew him. He was a big man, but everyone knew him as a "gentle giant" with a heart as big as his physique. He loved being around kids which brought him much joy. He excelled at sports, notably basketball and football. So talented at football, he was recruited by Rutgers. He continued his love of all sports as a fan rather than a participant and would watch football games every Sunday.

Ryan was so loved by his peers that he was selected by the Marshfield graduating class of 1996 to be their graduation Grand Marshall, leading the graduation procession in white tux and tails. He was always surrounded by many friends and family. His first job was at Blue Cross Blue Shield in Quincy where he made many friends.

Ryan will be missed by all who knew him.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, September 12, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish Church, 40 Canal Street in Marshfield.
