Hawes, Sandra Lee (Jeffers, Henderson) of Marshfield, passed away on September 27, 2016 at the age of 68. Beloved wife of John B. Hawes and the late James Henderson. Devoted mother of Diane Henderson of San Francisco, Dr. Linda Sparks of North Carolina, and Brian Hawes and his wife Tricia of Duxbury. Dear sister of Judy Cheney and her husband Leo of Connecticut and grandmother of Carly Hawes.

Sandy was a joy to behold and loved by everyone who crossed her path. She enjoyed traveling the world with her family and friends. She was devoted to her family, animals, friends, church and her town, including the preservation of Marshfield history. She loved playing cards, gardening, crafts, dancing and entertaining.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) in Marshfield. A Funeral Service followed by a Celebration of Life Party will be held on Friday, October 7, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the North Community Church, 72 Old Main Street, Marshfield.
