Sean Sheehan of Marshfield, MA passed away peacefully on February 28, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Las Vegas, NV on January 21, 1964. Sean was the beloved brother of Mark, Paul, Chris, Monica, David, Brian, and Ellen Sheehan, all originally from Marshfield. He was predeceased by his father Paul Sheehan and mother Dianne Sheehan. Sean will be remembered by his many cousins, friends and colleagues.
Sean grew up in Marshfield and was graduated from Marshfield High School in 1982 where he earned his varsity letter in golf. He was an avid sports fan and passionate supporter of the Boston Bruins. Sean played basketball, football and softball as an adult in Marshfield… usually with his brother BMan. His love of golf stayed with him throughout his life where he was known to frequently beat Brian, John, Ron and most recently his sister Ellen. Sean also loved music and playing guitar. Most notably Sean will be remembered for his quick wit and wicked sense of humor.
Sean worked in Human Services for over 30 years including several years at REACH and New England Villages. He was well respected in the Human Service Community and was especially known for his compassion and advocacy for his clients with disabilities. Sean also ran the Special Olympics in Southeastern Massachusetts for many years.
Sean Sheehan passed away in February, due to complications of undiagnosed colon cancer. His brothers and sisters are holding a celebration of life ceremony instead of a funeral. We invite everyone to join his family and friends at his favorite golf course, where we will raise a glass (or three) to the best man we know.
