Sheila Shea Donovan, beloved mother of the late Robert J. Shea, passed away on March 8, 2023. She leaves behind her dear grandson, Daniel R. Shea of Chicago, IL of whom she was so proud. She was the loving big sister of Joan (William) Murphy of Harwich; Gail (Tony) DiSalvo of Bernardsville, NJ; Elaine (late Donal) Tobin of Westwood; Richard (Dorothy) Mulligan of Westwood; and her predeceased brother John Mulligan. She will lovingly be remembered by her many nieces and nephews.

Sheila was a 1954 graduate of St. Mary of the Assumption High School in Brookline. Trained as a bookkeeper, she spent many years in the business world. After their working years, Sheila and her late husband James (Jim) Donovan retired to their seaside cottage in Marshfield where she took a keen interest in local issues and served on the Council on Aging.

Books and crossword puzzles gave her enjoyment as well as keeping up with her large family, never forgetting to remember birthdays and special holidays.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, March 19, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield.. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later dat followed by interment in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne with her late husband Jim, who served in the US Marine Corps.
