Stephen “Steve” M. Drake of Marshfield passed away suddenly at his home on June 28th 2026.
Steve was the beloved husband to Donna Rando-Drake of Cape Coral FL and devoted father to his son Stephen M. Drake, II, whom he taught valuable life lessons, and shared so many laughs, so many milestones and most importantly, unconditional love.
Steve was born in Quincy Massachusetts and graduated from Quincy Vocational Technical High School where he studied as an electrician. Steve spent the majority of his life working as a Master Electrician proudly out of IBEW Local 103 in Boston. On top of countless achievements and accomplishments, some of the proudest moments of his career were building the O’Neil tunnel during the big dig project and helping to restore power to New York after Hurricane Sandy hit in October of 2012.
Steve is the beloved son of the late Albert “Sonny” Drake. Steve is survived by his loving mother Mary Drake of Hanover. his brother Kevin Drake and his wife Leigh-Ann, and is a beloved uncle to their son Kevin Drake Jr. of Marshfield, his sister Christine McLaughlin of Hanover. his sister in-law Cheryl Brown and her husband Curtis of Valparaiso, Indiana.
Steve is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and cousins who will never let him be forgotten.
Steve loved spending time with the people he loved; going out to eat and trying new restaurants with his mother, watching sports, playing darts and countless amounts of back and forth banter out in the garage with his brother, cooking in the kitchen with his wife. For him, as long as there was beer in the fridge, cigarettes in his pocket and people around to laugh with, he was at home. Anyone who knew Steve knew the enormous size heart he had.
