Susan E. (Dunlea) Latta of Marshfield passed away on October 22, 2022, surrounded by family at her daughter's home in Pembroke. She was the loving mother of Michael Latta and his partner Lisa Wynne of Marshfield, Michelle Latta of Marshfield, Rachel Latta and her fiancé Kyle Modisette of Pembroke, Melissa Latta and her partner Philip Bailey of Scituate, and the late Allison Latta. She was the cherished "Mimi" of Jacob and Duncan Latta, Ryan Latta, Jordan and Trevor Dunn, and Shelby and Sydney Eastman. Daughter of the late Edward and Clarissa (Parlon) Dunlea, she was the dear sister of Judy Clinch of Everett and her late husband Peter. Susan is predeceased by her sisters Virginia Zirpolo and Mary Dempsey. She leaves many nieces and nephews.

Susan has been a fixture in the community since moving to Marshfield in 1975 to be close to her parents and her sister, Virginia. She loved the beach and living close to the ocean. She was well known and loved at the Marshfield Country Club during her many years of service to them. It was there that she found her second family, and she was sadly missed by many members when she moved on. Susan worked the 8 years prior to her retirement with the top-notch catering department at Roche Bros. Supermarket in Marshfield.

Susan lifted people up and was a wonderful and caring friend to all. If ever there was a perfect mother, she was it, even to the friends of her own children. If one of them was in need be it for a week or a year, she would make room and treat them as her own. An amazing baker, she was famous for her brownie recipe which thankfully has been passed down to the next generation. Her work ethic was unsurpassed, a quality she instilled in her children and grandchildren. More than anything, Susan loved her family and was extremely proud of them all. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish Church, 40 Canal Street in Marshfield.
