Sylvia (Arthur) Gentile age 87, died November 8th, 2020 after a brief illness. Sylvia was the daughter of Amelia and Thimi Arthur (deceased). Sylvia was raised in Brockton, Massachusetts and was a graduate of Brockton High School class of 1950.

Sylvia lived most of her life in the town of Marshfield MA. She loved this community and shared her passion of creating great cuisine in many restaurants in this area throughout her career. Some of the establishments you may remember tasting her creations and spending time talking and laughing with her were the Seaflower, the Daily Catch and the North River House.

Besides being a great chef and lover of good cuisine, Sylvia also enjoyed spending time with her friends going out to lunch, shopping and crafting. Sylvia was a lover of animals and especially enjoyed the company of her good friends Becky Tosca and Sheryll Hoyt and their dogs Oreo & Mickey.
Sylvia is survived by her brothers Peter Arthur of Brockton, Tom Arthur and his wife Sandra of Sydney Australia, cousins Bill and Natalie Bedgio, Chris and Nan Bedgio, nieces Emelia Arthur , Elaine LeBoeuf , Ariel Gray and her husband Adrian , Janelle Torchio and her husband Steven and her nephew Robert Arthur and his wife Kathleen. She also is a great aunt to 3 great nieces, 5 great nephews and 1 great, great nephew and leaves behind many good friends and relations.

A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.
