Obituary

Thomas E. "Bo" Barry, Jr., passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family on August 26, 2022 at Colony Center for Health & Rehab in Abington. He was the beloved husband of Ann (McDonough) Barry, dear father of Kevin and his wife Nancy of Vero Beach, FL, Tom and his wife Pam of Walpole, and Kim DiLoreto and her husband Bob of Norwell, and cherished grandfather of Sean, Maggie, KC, Grace, Ryan and Emily. Dear brother of the late Myrna Barry, he is also survived by his sister-in-law, Barbara McDonough, and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

Bo, his nickname since childhood, was raised in Southie by his loving mother.  He graduated from South Boston High School in 1957.  He met the love of his life, Annie McDonough, in 1956 and they married in 1963.  In 1965 they moved to Marshfield where they raised their 3 children.

Bo had many jobs throughout his life, where he always demonstrated his hard work ethic.  He was a firefighter with the town of Marshfield, retiring in 1985.  He also worked in Security at State Street Bank in both the Quincy and Boston locations before retiring in 1992.  He was a charter member of the Marshfield Elks and a member of the GHYC.

Bo was loved by so many, if you knew him you loved him.  He was kind, generous and had the funniest sense of humor.  He loved to sing and dance and he was passionate about all Boston sports as well as the Pittsburg Penguins.  He whole heartedly loved his family and was so proud of their life achievements and accomplishments.  He will be forever in our hearts.
