Thomas W. Pickett, Jr., formerly of Braintree and Marshfield, passed away peacefully on November 16th surrounded by family members at the Pat Roche Hospice Home in Hingham. He was born on October 2, 1954 to the late Thomas W. and Joan (Meade) Pickett in Quincy, MA.
Tommy is survived by his 4 sisters, Maryellen (Mark), Kathy (Pete), Joanne (Bill), and Beth (Don), and 2 brothers, John (Anne) and Bob (Amy) as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Tom was a retired electrician who graduated from Blue Hills Vocational Technical School in 1972 where he learned his lifelong trade. His interests included skiing, sailing, scuba diving, kayaking and history. He enjoyed driving and tinkering with his MG, Jeep, and assorted cars. He enjoyed spending time with family – siblings, spouses, nieces, nephews and all the grandnieces and grandnephews. He especially liked seeing the little ones.
Visitation will be at MacDonald Funeral Home in Marshfield on Tuesday November 25 from 8:30 to 10:00 am followed by a 10:30 am Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Green Harbor. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the PKD Foundation, online at: https://pkdcure.org/
Tommy will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
