CURRAN, Thomas (Tom) R. of Marshfield passed away on August 7, 2022 at the age of 85. He leaves behind his beloved partner and love of his life of 48 years, Marilyn Brait of Marshfield, his cherished sons Robert and Gary Curran, both of Marshfield, along with his former spouse and friend, Grace Madden, and his Brait family: Donna Courchene of Florida, Joseph and Anne Brait of Mashpee, Michael and Carol Brait of Walpole, Gary and Diane Brait of Plymouth, Stephen and Lara Brait of Marshfield, and Robert and Michele Brait of Marshfield. Tom was a loving grandfather to 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his dear brother, William "Bill" Curran and his wife Joyce, and is pre-deceased by siblings: Patrick "Pat" Curran, Margaret "Peggy" D'Ambrosia, George Curran, and Elizabeth "Betty" Demiglio.

Born in Jamaica Plain in Boston, Tom proudly enlisted in the Army in 1956. Upon discharge from serving his beloved Country, Tom then found employment with The Baptist Hospital, Boston Shipyard, General Dynamics and Pembroke Hospital. Tom's favorite activities were playing golf, card games, cozy evenings watching Jeopardy with Marilyn, and special gatherings with all his grandchildren, who lovingly called him "Pa".  At his core, Tom enjoyed the simple things, and his most favorite activity was just being together with all the family. He was a devout Catholic, kind, gentle, caring, generous and loving to all. Tom's sweet smile, soft blue Irish eyes, and wonderful sense of humor will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield on Monday, August 15, 2022 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., followed by a funeral procession to St. Ann by the Sea Parish Church, 591 Ocean Street in Marshfield, where the Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Couch Cemetery, Union Street in Marshfield.
