Thomas J. Rooney of Marshfield, MA passed away on October 14, 2020 at the age of 80. Son of the late William and Catherine Rooney of Charlestown, MA. Survived by his wife Jackie, children Ed Rooney and his wife Mary of Quincy, Beth Holbert of Norwell and Kristin Fleming and her husband David of Marshfield and his sister Terry Whittemore and her husband Arthur. Tom was a very devoted father and grandfather (Pa) to 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Tom was a graduate of Dom Bosco Highschool, class of 1958. He served in the Navy from 1958-1963 aboard the USS Angler submarine. After his service he went on to work for the telephone company which he retired from in 1998.

Tom was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. He was happiest spending time with his family, traveling and cooking.

Services will be private at the McDonald Funeral Home in Marshfield, MA on Sunday, October 18, 2020.
