Velia (Norcia) Delmonte passed away suddenly on July 16,2026 leaving behind a family who loved her deeply and will forever cherish her memory. Born January 28, 1936 in Greci, Italy she was the beloved wife of the late Giuseppe Delmonte. She was a devoted and loving mother to Leonardo Desimone and his wife Carol of Lake Worth, Florida and Josephine Delkouras of Marshfield. Sister to Matteo Norcia of Lynnfield and Antonio Norcia of Everett. Velia was the proud and cherished “Nonna” to Dina Delkouras, Bobby Delkouras, Michael Desimone, Dylan Desimone and Sammy-Jo Desimone. As well as “Bisnonna” to her precious great granddaughter Palmer Desimone. Her children, grandchildren and great granddaughter were the center of her world and greatest joy of her life. An extraordinary cook, Velia expressed her love through every meal that she prepared. Her memory will forever live on in the heart of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed.
