Victoria Medeiros Oehmen, 31, of Marshfield, MA, a wife, daughter, friend, teacher, musician, student, swimmer, runner, foodie, and loved one, lost her battle with ovarian cancer on March 31 st . In keeping with her indomitable spirit, she fought bravely for five years, and passed with her husband, parents, family, and many friends by her side, loving her as she moved on to the next part of her journey. Beloved wife of Michael Oehmen, she was the cherished daughter of Frederick and Maria (Milani) Medeiros of Marshfield; granddaughter of Adele and the late Ernie Milani of Norwell; daughter in-law of Chris and Elizabeth (Treadwell) Oehmen of Reading; niece of Donna and Chick Luther, Loretta and Tom Slavin, and Ernie and Lena Milani, all of Norwell; cousin of Danielle Slavin and the late Thomas Slavin, and Larkspur Milani and Dante Milani; sister in-law of Allison Oehmen of Southboro.
Victoria was a graduate of the Hartt School of Music, double major in Performance and Education, and earned a Master's degree in Music Education. She taught General and Instrumental Music in both school and private settings and was beloved by her students. She was an amazing saxophone performer, playing all different musical styles seamlessly. She performed in places from Symphony Hall to Woodstock to the Xfinity Center. She especially enjoyed playing duets and performing with her husband, Mike, the love of her life. Other loves were her cats Melody and Stella, who also gave her great comfort while battling her illness.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street, Marshfield. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Christine Parish Church, 1295 Main Street (Rte. 3A) in Marshfield. Burial will be private.
