Parmenter, Viola I. (Malcolm) , of Scituate, formerly of Marshfield, 88 years old, Feb. 5, Wife of the late James F. Parmenter; dear mother of Robert Parmenter and his wife Karen of Marshfield and Carol Norwood of Auburndale, FL. Loving grandmother of Brian and Amy Sligar, David Norwood and Michelle McHardy and great grandmother of Jenna, Alexander and Madelyn. Sister of Emerson, Norman, Robert, and William Malcolm. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Viola was born in Weymouth. Graduated from Hingham High School, class of l939 and The Beacon School of Podiatry. She was a Veteran of the U.S.Marines WWII. She was also an Avid beano player. A Graveside military service will be held at a later date in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
