Virginia Carver O'KELLY, of Marshfield entered in to eternal peace on October 18, 2017. Virginia (Ginny) was born in Plymouth and lived in Marshfield most of her life.

Ginny adored her family and grandchildren. She was a wonderful homemaker; a caring woman who would do anything for anyone. Ginny was very generous and never wanted anyone to be alone. She worked as a banker for years at the Plymouth Five and later at Rockland Trust in Marshfield.

Mom was lovingly cared for in her declining health by her husband, Mel, and her daughter Beth. They did an amazing job for her care and support. She spent her final days at the Pat Roche Hospice House in Hingham, which gave the family peace that she was so well cared for.

Beloved wife of 65 years to Melvin, she was the loving mother of Linda, Jim, David and Bethanne.

Virginia's siblings are all deceased being Henry(Hank), William and Phyliss. Her family included spouses Paula, Laura and Steven whom she cared for very dearly, and her five grandchildren Christian, Conor, Kathleen, Adam, and Ariana, who will cherish all the happy times they had with their beloved grandmother.

The family is given comfort that Ginny is with her mother whom she missed dearly, and who also passed away on the same day October 18, in 1981.  We are so grateful for the support of all our families and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) in Marshfield; and to gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 9:45 a.m. for a Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Mayflower Cemetery in Duxbury.
